XL GOOD BONES CUTTING BOARD

£275.00

After being asked for years where to find a cutting board like mine, I decided to make them come to life.

Handmade by a local artisan in my London neighbourhood, these extra large, heavy-duty chopping boards are made from responsibly sourced beech and built to last a lifetime.

Designed to mimic the beloved board my dad made for me a decade ago that has a permanent spot next to my range, your board is meant to live on your worktop and rarely move. If you have a standard-depth counter (60cm), it will hang over just a tad to facilitate wiping crumbs off.

It’s an essential part of my kitchen kit and I’m really excited to see these in the wild!

  • DIMENSIONS + MORE INFORMATION:

    • 62 cm x 45 cm x 4 cm and very heavy

    • Face grain GIB certified beech

    • Comes pre-oiled

    • As photo (but new! and without the grooves on the sides)

    • Tiny GB logo on one side

    • For reference, the board pictured in my kitchen is 10 years old, 66 cm x 48 cm x 4 cm, and has never been re-oiled. Your board will change over time.

  • CARE:

    • Wipe down with a soapy sponge to clean. It can absolutely handle a good scrub, too. This is obvious, but please do not attempt to put it in the dishwasher.

    • Once in a blue moon, to keep your board fresh as a daisy, clean thoroughly and apply a coat of food-safe wood oil to stop the board from drying out. (NB: this is more of a do as I say situation as I have never done this.) Do not use food oils, such as olive or sunflower, as these will go rancid over time.

  • NOTA BENE: as we will be making a very limited batch of these puppies, they are available by pre-sale only. By buying a board, you are committing to arranging for timely collection (by yourself or a courier, such as Gophr, Addison Lee, City Sprint or Stuart) from North London from mid-May. Boards will not be wrapped or packaged for shipping. Please make sure you’re happy with this arrangement before you purchase. There will be no refunds or exchanges except in the very unlikely case of a defect. VAT will be applied at checkout. And thanks!!
